About us
Bryndís and Hany (ISL) have tought, performed, organized and loved the Argentine Tango for 12 years. They were educated in Buenos Aires by Argentine masters, e.g. Gustavo Naveirra and Giselle Anne Cecilia
Gonzalez, Mariano “Chicho” Frumboli and Eugenia Parilla and Damian Essel and Nancy Luzan. This Austrian-Icelandic couple - living in Iceland - started the icelandic tango scene and founded the Reykjavík Tango Club in the year 2000. Today there are about 150 active dancers in Reykjavík, dancing 5 times a week in different locations. They give reglular workshops and private classes in Reykjavik througt the year, from beginners to master level. Bryndís is also tango DJing. Bryndis and Hany are the organizers of TANGO on ICEland festival.
Bryndís and Hany have tought and performed in Denmark several times, in Tango del Norte festival 2006 and 2007, Påsketango in Sönderborg 2008, 2009 and 2010, and as a guest teachers in M2 tango studio in Copenhagen in 2009 and 2010.
Bryndís and Hany consider themselves "classical" tango dancers, but are open to all new movements as they like to be versatile in their dancing and teaching. In their classes they work with the basic, posture and the embrace, flow of the movement and of course musicality. Finding the possibilities within the capacity of the students is essential to them. Another motto: Tango is difficult enough, let´s laugh a bit and have fun.
