IÐNÓ
The Reykjavik Craftsmen’s Association built Iðnó in 1896, on a landfill in the Reykjavik Pond.
The Reykjavik Theatre Company began its tenure in the building with the premiers of two Danish comedies on December 18, 1897. The company resided in the building until 1989, when it moved to the Reykjavik City Theatre. Iðnó has a great dancefloor and the dance sometimes gets the theatrical twist.
REYKJAVÍK CITY HALL
The Reykjavík City Hall is situated right next to Iðnó. The very modern complex , built in 1992, is open to visitors all day and will be a very interesting dance venue.
